Therapist & Body Love Coach

Ummm . . . I don’t know about you, but I don’t see anything in that definition about weight. Being healthy is about much more than the size of your clothes. Health is about living your best life by embracing who you are wholeheartedly - mind, body and SOUL.

health

noun, [helth, hεlθ]

1   a: the condition of being sound in body, mind, or spirit; especially freedom from physical disease or pain.

b: the general condition of the body.

2   a: a condition in which someone or something is thriving or doing well.

Ummm . . . I don’t know about you, but I don’t see anything in that definition about weight. Being healthy is about much more than the size of your clothes. Health is about living your best life by embracing who you are wholeheartedly - mind, body and SOUL.

Sometimes our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors become so overwhelming, uncovering a way to deal with them independently is tough. Finding a trusted individual to help you sort through the challenges life presents can help.

Body Love Coaching is for the woman that is sick of hating her body, thinking about food all the time, and judging everything she eats. When did selecting what

to eat for dinner become rocket science?

MY APPROACH

Women are inundated with societal messages that constantly promote weight loss, dieting, and looking a certain way. It comes as no surprise that these messages often lead to self-hatred, lack of self-compassion, and shame. Women find themselves missing out on life and delaying happiness while trying to achieve the “perfect” body.

ABOUT ME

Hi There - I’m Karlyn Benn, Licensed Professional Counselor and Body Love Coach. My goal is to empower women to embrace their individuality and ROCK regardless of their weight or body size.

Poodle Science: Problem Associating Weight with Health

In the famous words of Dr. Seuss, “There is no one alive that is YOU-ER than YOU”! So why do we work so hard to be something or someone we’re not? This Poodle Science video gives an excellent illustration of why it’s important to accept who we are, as we are.

*Produced by Amy Herskowitz, script by Deb Burgard, animation and voiceover by Stacy Bias, project sponsored by the Association for Size Diversity and Health (ASDAH)
This has been a heartwarming, challenging, and incredibly worthwhile experience. Karlyn is a master of her craft!
